Stephen Ministry![]() SUPPORTING ONE ANOTHER through Christian care.
Are you hurting, struggling, discouraged, stressed, confused, broken or lonely? Stephen Ministers can help. Stephen Ministry provides confidential Christian care and support to those in need. Our congregation's Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. Who are Stephen Ministers?
How does Stephen Ministry work?
The Stephen Ministry Referrals Coordinator learns about a need from an individual, a pastor, or a friend – always with that individual's permission. The Referrals Coordinator or Stephen Ministry Pastor talks with the individual about Stephen Ministry. Then, with the individual's agreement, a Stephen Minister of the same gender is assigned to meet with the individual on a regular basis. With strict confidentiality, the Stephen Minister will continue to provide Christian love, care, and support as long as it's needed. If you or someone you know is in need of confidential care and support, Stephen Ministry is available. For a personal and private phone consultation contact Dr. Bob Nations (397-1357). Love One Another As I Have Loved You…
In John 15:12, Jesus says, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” Loving and caring for one another is not just the pastor’s job—it’s something Jesus calls us all to do! Stephen Ministry is a ministry in which people with special gifts for the caring ministry can put those gifts to use in an organized way, bringing Jesus’ love and care to those who most need it. If you or someone you know is facing a crisis –large or small—and could benefit from the caring presence of a Stephen Minister, call 397-1357. What would you like to do today?
