Traditional Worship
Open Hearts
open minds and open doors.
Excellence through worship, music and spiritual community—that's what you will experience when you take part in worship at Centenary. Led by Senior Minister Dr. Peter C. Graves, our traditionally-styled worship services offer clear, life-related and relevant biblical preaching meant to challenge, comfort and grow the faith community. More than just a message, each sermon series is prayerfully thought out with intellectual integrity and biblical depth. We are a church open to all people, for that reason, Centenary gladly offers two convenient gathering times for all who wish to join us in worship.
8:45 am service—Early risers and time-sensitive worshipers may prefer our 8:45 am service. Filled with the boldness and conviction of our 11:00 am service, this early morning service offers glorifying music and a full-bodied message in a slightly-shorter format. Worship at 8:45 am is accompanied by the splendid choral tones of Centenary's Sanctuary Choir.
11:00 am service—Broadcast live each week on 600 WSJS, Centenary's 11:00 am worship service offers a powerful liturgical worship experience for all people. Each week, Dr. Graves explores the fullness and mystery of God through life-relevant messages meant to bring greater understanding of the faith. Worship at 11:00 am is accompanied by the excellent choral offerings of Centenary's Chancel Choir. During the 11:00 am service, children are invited to participate in their own special worship experience with Reverend Abby Hedgecock.
Join us in the Sanctuary this Sunday for the full splendor of worship. All are welcome.
